“I’m looking forward to joining the team at Dandenong City S.C. The club has a clear vision and is focused on providing its youth with a pathway to senior football. I’m looking forward to nurturing and helping develop the young talent at Dandenong City S.C.” – Rodrigo Vargas
In the search for a suitable TD to take the club to the next level, one of our key requirements was to unearth an individual with a clear passion for youth development and playing/coaching exposure at the highest levels. Rodrigo ticks all those boxes and we warmly welcome him to the Dandy City family.

In order to ensure we have thorough coverage at all levels of development, Rodrigo will be assisted by our current Goal Keeping coach Sam Frangos who has already demonstrated his passion at the Club for youth development. With solid relationships already in place with our recently re appointed Senior Coaching group of Sasa Ognenovski, Semi Sivic & Sam Frangos the club has given Roddy and all coaches at all levels a clear message that Youth Development is our number one agenda with clear pathways for our home grown talent to the Senior Team.

Further announcements will be made this weekend regarding our U21’s and younger groups, all who have committed to developing the pathway for our youth.

With a 2020 Season that was full of disappointments we are all so excited with these appointments and look forward to positive times ahead as we keenly await announcements from SRV and our local council on when training will be allowed to commence. Following these approvals, we will release trial dates for interested participants.
